The Panama Institute for Ecological and Biological Research is an organization dedicated to providing local infrastructure for the scientific study of a diverse and largely pristine rainforest area, available to a national and international research community. It provides scientists* with an ecological, biological, and cultural environment to pursue their profession amidst a pristine environment of land, water, and indigenous people. We are a research institute dedicated to the conservation of the forests in this tropical rainforest area on the Caribbean coast of Veraguas in Panama.
The research center does not aim at growth but at a careful and qualitative deepening of the on-site research activities. A continuous occupancy of the research facility with longer-term.
The Panama Institute of Ecological and Biological Research offers a unique ecological, biological, and cultural environment to pursue scientific activities in pristine and protected nature.
The Panama Institute is located in the middle of the Mesoamerican biological green corridor of Central America – the biocorridor of the Isthmus of Panama. It is, therefore, on the one hand.
Although located in the middle of the rainforest, we offer a technical as well as personal environment that allows concentrated scientific work, even in the long term.
Regarding the costs of the living and the research, an individual service package is to be prepared; in this regard, we request that you contact the management of the research institute.
